IMMUNE REGULATION WITH LDNENHANCE YOUR NATURAL IMMUNITY * CONTROL HARMFUL INFLAMMATION * ENHANCED WELL-BEING
Medical science has established that weak immunity increases the risk of getting cancer dramatically. For example, higher cancer rates are seen in organ transplant patients who must take long-term immune-suppressing medications. On the opposite extreme, an overactive immune system creates harmful inflammation that can also lead to cancer (like colon cancer with colitis or Crohn’s disease, or liver cancer due to chronic hepatitis infection).
How do we find the right balance? We believe the answers are not complicated, and also very affordable!
Medicor physicians believe that the use of LDN for cancer prevention should be thoroughly researched. This presents a dilemma because proper long-term cancer prevention studies are very expensive, and a simple, cheap and safe medicine like LDN is not profitable enough to cover the costs of such studies. We have reviewed the collection of existing research on LDN and crafted a logical, evidence-based prevention strategy that can be used today!
Low Dose Naltrexone
A great discovery was made by Dr. Bernard Bihari regarding the hidden benefits of naltrexone, a medicine that is simply an antidote to morphine, heroin and related “opiate” drugs. Dr. Bihari determined that tiny doses of this cheap and safe prescription medication could help treat patients with AIDS, auto-immune diseases (like M.S., Crohn’s disease or rheumatoid arthritis) and many types of cancer.
It was found that low dose naltrexone (LDN) paradoxically increased the level of natural opiates in the body when taken at the correct dose and time of day. One of these natural opiates, known as OGF or met-enkephalin, has been studied extensively at Pennsylvania State University by Dr. Ian Zagon and his colleagues. They discovered broad spectrum anti-cancer properties and positive immuno-regulatory properties. In other words, a boost in OGF levels in the body can bring an overactive or underactive immune system back towards normal function, and can also directly kill cancer cells of various types.
Ultimately the anti-cancer properties of OGF were clearly demonstrated in small human trials. Many case reports are also published of successful cancer therapy with LDN, mostly authored by Dr. Burt Berkson / Dr. Dan Rubin, and one paper by Medicor’s medical director.
Based on the ability of LDN to control an autoimmune inflammatory response in the body, it is logical to conclude it has excellent potential in the role of cancer prevention. With almost no side effects and low cost, it is hard to argue against its use, under medical supervision, in people with auto-immune disease!Dr. Humaira Khan
MEDICOR CANCER PREVENTION RECOMMENDATION
Everyone with autoimmune conditions or weakened immunity should immediately speak to their doctor about starting LDN. Note if you are taking continuous “opiate” pain medicine or you have had an organ transplant, you cannot take LDN. This is a prescription medication that is only available at specialty pharmacies, and through Medicor.
